Summer Update Letter 2018

We have had a busy Summer looking after the estate and managed to sort out quite a few issues. The abandoned car in garage court 3 has been removed. We have overseen some tree trimming around the estate. A few washing line holes have been installed for communal use. Painting work has also been carried out as well as the continued grounds maintenance and grass cutting.

Additional Bins Have Been Received

Hopefully you have noticed we do have a few more mixed waste recycling bins and also a few more black bins too (4 blue and 4 black as well as the damaged ones replaced). We have been campaigning on your behalf with the East Herts Council for quite a while and their assessor came out and agreed we needed more. Please ensure you put the correct waste in the correct bins. No plastic bags in blue bins. paper (not cardboard) in the paper bin and do not put paper in the mixed recycling bins. We appreciate this.

Please Don’t Park On The Grass

We have noticed recently that some residents are parking on the grass outside their properties. This is not acceptable as the grass areas are a communal space and will incur damage which the owner will be liable for. If this continues we will be forced to install anti-parking posts to prevent vehicles from parking on the grass and this will be a cost for all residents through the annual maintenance fee. So please be considerate to everyone.

General Clutter Update

After our last letter about the clutter around the estate we have noted that the situation is now much better and would like to thank all residents for playing a part in tidying their communal areas outside their properties. Please try to keep this ongoing as we don’t want to be forced to tighten the rules on this.

Gardens and Grass Areas

The gardens and grass areas are for residents only not for public use. Lately we’ve had reports of a few dog walkers using the public path which is fine, but if they stray onto the grass areas, especially for dog fouling, then this is not acceptable as this is a private property and for Leat Close residents only. We are looking at getting some signage made up for this. Please challenge any visitors if they are doing this as they probably aren’t aware that the grass area is private.
