Garage Block 3

This car park area is being resurfaced on Thursday  September 26th 2024

Please make sure that all vehicles have been removed from this area

by 6 a.m of 26th at the very latest.

You will be able to park your vehicles back on the forecourt

on Sunday 29th.

Please do not park in the turning area as this will obstruct the

maintenance vehicles. Thank you for your help.

PAINTING 2024

Flats 11-16 and garage block 3 are due to be painted this year.

The start date for the scheduled  painting is August 12th and the scaffolding will go up on the 13th.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation during this time.

COMMITEE MEETING

The committee met on 21st June.

The maintenance fees were discussed for the next year.  We are currently waiting for the cost of insurance to be advised by Nicholson’s . Once this is received, we will be able to distribute the notices to the owners.  We will as always endeavour to keep the cost as low as possible.

Work is due to be carried out in garage block 4. During this time all vehicles will need to be moved out of the area.  We are hoping this will take place in July and will notify all residents affected ASAP.

COMMITEE MEETING

The committee met on 21st March and the following items were discussed –

Parking in the turning circle

At the recent AGM some members asked if double yellow lines could be painted in the turning circle.Karyn has contacted the Council and has been advised that it will not be possible at this time as others areas in Sawbridgeworth are a priority.

Bin collections

Karyn has been in contact with the council to ask if bins for the private houses and the flats can be collected on the same day.  This would mean less movement of large lorries, less pollution and be more cost effective for the council.  The council advised her that this is not possible as the houses are classed as household waste and the flats are classed as trade waste.

Please can we also remind all residents that plastic bags cannot be placed in the blue bins.   Large items must not be placed in or next to the bins as they will not be collected.  These items must be taken to a local Recycling Centre which are located in Harlow and Bishops Stortford.
